Race Verdict

Following success in a Listed bumper at Cheltenham last November, ONE TERM looked a horse with a promising future and, while Rebecca Curtis' charge is still without a win over timber (from three starts), this looks a very winnable race on paper. He may take some beating if back to the form that saw him finish within a neck to Ballyrock at Hereford on his hurdling debut. Brick Red made a pleasing start to his jumping career at Huntingdon last month and should come on for that experience, while the 120-rated Clarion Call must come into the reckoning.

Selection: One Term        Danger: Brick Red        Alternative: Clarion Call
