Race Verdict

After a debut third to Craven flop Born To Surprise at Doncaster, MUTAFAAKIR made late headway into fourth in a traditionally hot Newmarket maiden. That form sets a smart standard which the newcomers must aspire to, and they are headed by Sabre Tooth, a Medicean colt from the Stoute stable, as well as Mark Johnston's Invincible Spirit filly Raheeba, who cost 90,000gns. Cactus Valley is also respected and market support for him would be interesting, too.

Selection: Mutafaakir        Danger: Sabre Tooth        Alternative: Raheeba
