A number of unknown quantities here, not least Tigertoo and Teacher who make their respective handicap debuts off lowly marks having shown minimal promise last year. The latter is of particular interest given his smart pedigree and that he was quietly fancied for a hot Newbury maiden on debut last September. Both merit close inspection in the betting but at this stage, it may prove safest to side with SMART AFFAIR, who handled deep conditions well enough when opening her account at Southwell latest and looks capable of progressing further this term.
