Race Verdict

A cracking renewal with a host of classy fillies taking part. Timepiece escapes a penalty for her Group 1 win in the Falmouth Stakes last summer and if anything this slightly longer trip should suit her more, while Law Of The Range looked in need of a furlong further when just failing to reel in Captivator at Kempton, though whether she can reverse the placings here has to be in some doubt. Khawlah was a high-class operator when winning back-to-back Group races at Meydan in 2011 but hasn't been seen since, so preference is for IZZI TOP. John Gosden's filly was good enough to take third in the Oaks at Epsom last season, and though she is penalised for her Group 3 win at Saint-Cloud in October, that came on a soft surface so testing conditions will not be an inconvenience.

Selection: Izzi Top        Danger: Timepiece        Alternative: Khawlah
