Race Verdict

Seal Rock benefited from an enterprising Dane O'Neill ride to beat Mirza at Pontefract and a 4lb rise is fair, while Colonel Mak got back to winning ways with victory at Doncaster last month, but he has been raised 6lb for his efforts. Alben Star and Whaileyy look closely matched on their run at Wolverhampton in March and both may be capable of mounting a challenge, but preference is for Irish raider MAAREK. David Nagle's gelding came from well off the pace to score at Naas last time and the form was given a huge boost when runner-up Gordon Lord Byron swept to victory at Tipperary on Thursday.

Selection: Maarek        Danger: Seal Rock        Alternative: Colonel Mak
