Race Verdict

ROYAL PECULIAR shaped pleasingly on his handicap bow when posting a respectable effort behind stable companion Midsummer Sun in a well-contested Lingfield handicap. That was only his third run and his performance clearly indicated that he's still learning whilst retaining considerable scope for improvement. Upped in trip and returned to turf, the Galileo colt can progress past predominantly exposed rivals. Albert Bridge is the other unexposed performer on show with a similar profile to the selection and the Hernando gelding is greatly respected. Enfant De Lune, in fine form over timber, and the consistent Rockfella, also merit consideration.

Selection: Royal Peculiar        Danger: Albert Bridge        Alternative: Enfant De Lune
