Race Verdict

A host of potential improvers on show in this tightly-knit event, not least SHOT IN THE DARK. He didn't look at home on the all-weather surface when disappointing in a Southwell maiden on his last outing in November but had previously shown up well for second over 7f at Chepstow and looks reasonably treated provided he's trained on. Emman Bee brings decent handicap form to the table following a win at Lingfield and solid second at Nottingham, while Chrissycross and Flavius Victor also deserve respect.

Selection: Shot In The Dark        Danger: Emman Bee        Alternative: Chrissycross
