Race Verdict

EMKANAAT stands out as the unexposed potential improver and might be worth siding with on his seasonal return to competitive action. The son of Green Desert twice disappointed when favourite last term but it was his impressive Lingfield maiden win in September that marked him down as above average and there's a strong case he'll have developed over the winter. Beat The Bell has outstanding claims if back to something like his best but he has seemingly lost his way so perhaps Seek The Fair Land and Aqua Ardens, who are fit from the all-weather, will pose the selection most problems.

Selection: Emkanaat        Danger: Seek The Fair Land        Alternative: Aqua Ardens
