Race Verdict

Dontpaytheferryman has been plying his trade to great effect over timber this year and it will be interesting to see if he can transfer that improvement to the Flat game. However, all five of his wins on the level have come on the Fibresand and the jury remains out regarding his prowess on turf. Therefore, FLYING APPLAUSE looks a safer option having already landed a couple of soft ground handicaps this term. He has yet to score over this far on turf but gets the trip and will appreciate the step down in grade. Hidden Glory looks the each-way shout.

Selection: Flying Applause        Danger: Dontpaytheferryman        Alternative: Hidden Glory
