Race Verdict

For all Newstead Abbey posted a very encouraging effort on his debut in a strong York maiden last month, this looks a competitive event and he might be worth taking on. Brian Meehan's filly FANTACISE is an interesting contender under Paul Hanagan and the booking suggests connections are confident of a big run. The form of her Windsor maiden third is working out well and this step up in trip on better ground is expected to bring about some improvement. Of the newcomers, Godolphin's 110,000gns colt Requested is one to keep a close eye on.

Selection: Fantacise        Danger: Newstead Abbey        Alternative: Requested
