Race Verdict

THE LOCK MASTER got up in the dying strides over a mile at Southwell last time and the return to this trip and 13lb lower mark now switched back to turf could reap further dividends here. Bold Cross was a narrow winner at Chepstow and looks decent value for a 3lb rise, while Ice Nelly has claims if fully wound up, as she won with a fair bit in hand on her final outing on turf.

Selection: The Lock Master        Danger: Bold Cross        Alternative: Ice Nelly
