Race Verdict

A really competitive handicap but RYE HOUSE relished the soft ground and step up to 1m4f when scoring on his handicap introduction at Windsor last month and he could be capable of defying a 7lb rise in the ratings. Moon Trip stepped up on his lifeless comeback effort to push the winner all the way at Musselburgh and he, too, handles soft ground. The mud was flying when Rule Book won his Sandown maiden over 1m2f and he promises to stay this far, whereas Al Saham's best two efforts have come on good ground and Kempton's all-weather surface, but he remains a nice prospect. Ex Oriente adds further strength in depth.

Selection: Rye House        Danger: Moon Trip        Alternative: Rule Book
