Race Verdict

This looks a good opportunity for LUCANIN to make it third time lucky. Sir Michael Stoute's Galileo colt has contested two strong maidens so far and went down by less than three lengths on each occasion, with his Newbury debut second over 1m confirming he handles cut in the ground. He appears to have less on his plate here and should prove too hot for Mossbrae, who disappointed on his seasonal reappearance but showed ability on soft ground when third on his sole juvenile start. Semeen could pick up the bronze medal.

Selection: Lucanin        Danger: Mossbrae        Alternative: Semeen
