Race Verdict

LOWTHER continues to tumble down the handicap and is now 14lb lower than when bringing up the field in the Lincoln in March. He's moved yards in the meantime but would make a big impact at this level if capable of reproducing his best turf form from last year, which included a third-placed finish in Newbury's Spring Cup. The lightly-raced Henry Clay is going the right way and is unlikely to be far away, while fellow three-year-old Philipstown, a last-time-out Windsor winner, is also respected off 6lb higher.

Selection: Lowther        Danger: Henry Clay        Alternative: Philipstown
