Race Verdict

Tim Easterby has his string in fine order at present so his Just Like Heaven looks a danger to all if transferring his best turf form onto this surface. Two wayward efforts on slow ground at Catterick and Haydock temper enthusiasm in that respect, however, so SPIC 'N SPAN gets the verdict. Ron Harris' charge is a seven-time C&D winner and advertised his wellbeing by scoring at Chepstow last month. Brian Ellison's Soopacal has plummeted down the weights in the last 12 months and looks the main danger.

Selection: Spic 'n Span        Danger: Soopacal        Alternative: Just Like Heaven
