Race Verdict

Harlestone Wood left behind two poor maiden efforts when runner-up over 1m4f at Newbury last time and this full-brother to Harlestone Times could be well-treated on an opening mark of 83. The form of the John Dunlop yard is a concern, however, and for win purposes, he's probably worth taking on with SILVER LIME. He went close over 1m1f behind Beaufort Twelve (engaged in today's opener) here in May and could improve for this stiffer test as he bids to shrug off a 4lb rise. Maria's Choice and Marshgate Lane make most appeal of the remaining handicap debutants.

Selection: Silver Lime        Danger: Harlestone Wood        Alternative: Maria's Choice
