Mjjack could have a date at Haydock on Saturday week if the ground is suitable.

Karl Burke's grey won at Newmarket on Tuesday but must have sufficient cut in the ground to be seen at his best.

"We'll see what the handicapper does as originally we were going to go to Haydock a week on Saturday for a £45,000 race," said Burke

"If the ground came up very soft there, we may still go there if he's OK.

"If not, I think we'll go for the Victoria Cup if the ground is right, otherwise he'll step up to Listed or Group Three company, wherever the ground is soft or heavy.

"Later in the year, there are plenty of valuable races over seven furlongs and last year the ground kept on coming up soft. He should stay a mile now, too.

"He's been leading quite a bit of the work this season, so it's nice it's dropping into place."
