Decorated Knight primed for swift return after Arlington misfortune

Leopardstown scorer Decorated Knight will soon be back on the track after he was forced to miss the Arlington Million with an 11th-hour setback.

The Roger Charlton-trained four-year-old had previously won the Group Three Meld Stakes in good style and was strongly fancied for his overseas jaunt.

However, he managed to get out of his box the night before the race and suffered a minor injury.

"He had an accident at Arlington," said Harry Charlton, the trainer's son and assistant.

"Somehow he cut himself overnight. It wasn't serious but it was enough to prevent him from running.

"It was very annoying and it was a long way to go for something like that to happen.

"He's back home and will be back on track soon. It was all just very frustrating."
