Following successive record Sales and a huge start to the 2017 season with two Group 1 winning 3YOs, BARNEY ROY and HARRY ANGEL, this year Goffs UK will offer the strongest ever Premier Yearling Sale catalogue at Doncaster on 29 & 30 August.

The Premier Yearling Sale has shown significant progression in recent years with the last two sales producing record figures following marked increases in the quality of yearlings entered by consignors. That increase in quality has made an immediate impact on the track with 2015’s record sale producing Royal Ascot’s Gr.1 St James’ Palace Stakes winning 3YO BARNEY ROY (pictured above) and the Gr.1 Darley July Cup winning 3YO HARRY ANGEL.

Horses from last year’s record sale have also made an excellent impression with over 70 2YO winners already, more than any other European yearling sale. Headline graduates from the 2016 sale include RAJASINGHE and DIFFERENT LEAGUE who completed a Royal Ascot 2YO Group double for the sale in June when winning the Gr.2 Coventry Stakes and Gr.3 Albany Stakes respectively.

This year will offer a catalogue of unprecedented quality with yearlings that would justify a position in Europe’s finest yearling sales. A total of 470 yearlings will be offered from Europe’s leading breeders and consignors and by many of Europe’s best sires. Some of the many highlights in this year’s catalogue include:

  • Lot 3, an Oasis Dream half-brother to the Gr.2 placed 2YO Lehaim and from the family of sires TALE OF THE CAT and PULPIT.

We have worked hard with consignors over the last few years to develop the quality of yearlings offered and we are delighted and most thankful to those who have entered some outstanding yearlings.

“The results achieved on the track this season, headed by Group 1 winning 3YOs Barney Roy and Harry Angel, are a big boost to this sale’s rapidly growing international reputation and are evidence of its ability to produce some of the best horses in Europe.
