At Fishers Cross considered for Cheltenham comeback by Rebecca Curtis

Rebecca Curtis is thinking of aiming At Fishers Cross at the Cleeve Hurdle on Festival Trials Day at Cheltenham on January 30.

The 2013 Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle winner has been absent since finishing fourth to Cole Harden in the Ladbrokes World Hurdle at the Festival in March.

Curtis said: "He's back in full work and he should be ready to run in two or three weeks' time."

She added: "We might aim him at the Cleeve Hurdle at the end of January."

Curtis will give the promising Beast Of Burden plenty of time to recover from his fall at Newbury.

The six-year-old looked an exciting prospect with two facile victories over hurdles last winter, but has yet to complete the course in two runs over fences.

Beast Of Burden was in front when unseating his rider at the second-last at Chepstow in October on his fencing bow.

His second attempt was worse as he was beaten when falling five out at Newbury, after which he was reported to have bled from the nose.

"We are just giving Beast Of Burden a short break to get over the fall he had at Newbury," said the Newport trainer.

"He is a big, weak horse and we will go easy on him.

"We will just see where he is in a month and then make a decision as to what we do with him."
