Noel Meade has been forced to rule Road To Riches out of the defence of his title in the Lexus Chase at Leopardstown on Monday.
The eight-year-old would have been one of the favourites for the Grade One contest having made a winning return to action this season in the Clonmel Oil Chase.
He ran a big race in the Cheltenham Gold Cup, finishing third to Coneygree in March, but Meade is just not happy with his current condition.
"Unfortunately Road To Riches will not be running in the Lexus Chase," said the County Meath trainer.
"I'm just not happy with a blood test he had recently, and he left almost half of his feed the other morning. That is not like him at all as he normally doesn't leave anything.
"He could be just carrying something and we don't want to take any chances."
