Peace And Co is to be checked out further on Monday as trainer Nicky Henderson tries to find an explanation for the previously unbeaten Triumph Hurdle winner's flop at Cheltenham on Saturday.

The four-year-old suffered his first defeat in five starts in spectacular fashion when last of six on his seasonal debut in the International Hurdle, finishing 21 lengths behind the victorious Old Guard.

A scope on Saturday night failed to shed any light on the matter but as jockey Daryl Jacob was suspicious of noises Peace And Co made, Henderson will dig deeper in an attempt to find the reason for the abysmal display.

"Peace And co is absolutely fine. We scoped him last night and there was nothing to see," said the Seven Barrows handler.

"There are one or two things were are going to have a look at tomorrow, but he's fine this morning.

"Daryl said he made a noise so we will look into that."
