David Bridgwater's stable star is famed for finishing placed in three Cheltenham Gold Cups and showed he still retained a fair amount of ability when running well for a long way in the Hennessy on his return to action.
"He'll run on Saturday," said Bridgwater.
"He's been grand since the Hennessy and while I toyed with Carlisle, the ground would have been very testing there for him.
"There are still races to be won with him, but he's like the rest of us - he's getting older and he's a bit in-and-out.
"He's in the Welsh National but it's all systems go for Saturday."
