The son of Arch, who memorably denied Zenyatta a repeat victory in the Breeders’ Cup Classic at Churchill Downs, has established himself as a reliable source of high-class performers from his base at Claiborne Farm.

He has sired top-level winners on both sides of the Atlantic, with Senga defeating Sistercharlie to take the Prix de Diane in France and Abscond, Fault, Marley’s Freedom and Nadal striking in Grade 1s in North America.

It is still relatively early days but it appears that he could be a real broodmare sire of note, too, as his maternal grandchildren include Breeders’ Cup Juvenile hero Forte, dual Grade 2 winner Kathleen O and European stars Bellharbour Music, Naamoos and Sacred.

Blame stands at Claiborne Farm at a fee of $25,000.
