Bungle Inthejungle’s progeny proved popular in the ring in 2023, led by his Group 3-winning son Givemethebeatboys making £1.1 million at the Goffs London Sale.

Another of his horses in training who sold for a good sum was the classy sprint handicapper Edward Cornelius, who fetched 110,000gns at the Tattersalls July Sale in the summer.

Owners and trainers were unsurprisingly keen to reinvest in the sire at the yearling sales, with his lots making €100,000 from Ciaran Dunne, €95,000 from Con Marnane, €62,000 from Legion Bloodstock, £60,000 from Adrian Keatley and £56,000 from Tim Easterby.

Bungle Inthejungle is the source of 14 black-type performers bred off small fees. His roll of honour is headed by Nunthorpe heroine Winter Power, Lowther Stakes winner Living In The Past and Molecomb Stakes scorer and Middle Park Stakes third Rumble Inthejungle.

The son of Exceed And Excel is widely acknowledged as one of the best value sires in Ireland, and he stands at Rathasker Stud at a reasonable €7,500 in 2024.
