Epiphaneia has quickly established himself as one of the most exciting young sires in Japan, with three outstanding Grade 1 winners already on his record.

Efforia was named JRA Horse of the Year in 2021 thanks to his victories in the Satsuki Sho, Tenno Sho (Autumn) and Arima Kinen; Daring Tact was the first filly to remain unbeaten when winning Japan’s fillies’ Triple Crown; and Circle Of Life is a former JRA champion two-year-old filly.

Epiphaneia has supplied 42 black-type performers in total, with Aristoteles, Clavel, Divine Love, Justin Cafe and Orthoclase also finishing placed at the highest level in Japan.

It is no surprise that the Shadai Stallion Station resident is working out so well, as he was a top-class racehorse himself, winning the Japanese St Leger and Japan Cup by wide margins and running second in the Japanese 2,000 Guineas and Derby.

He is also exceptionally well bred, being by Symboli Kris S out of champion Cesario, and therefore a half-brother to Grade 1 winners Leontes and Saturnalia.
