Jer's Girl team want Spring showers at Leopardstown

Gavin Cromwell is hoping for a bit of rain before Jer's Girl takes on Ivanovich Gorbatov in the GAIN Spring Juvenile Hurdle at Leopardstown on Saturday after the pair appeared among 10 confirmations.

Four-year-old filly Jer's Girl has already won a Listed event at Aintree and was only caught in the dying strides by Willie Mullins' Apple's Jade in the Knight Frank Juvenile Hurdle over Christmas.

At her best when the mud is flying, Cromwell feels Jer's Girl might need the ground in her favour to beat the ante-post Triumph Hurdle favourite Ivanovich Gorbatov.

"Everything is good with her and this has been the plan," said Cromwell.

"I'm looking forward to seeing how she gets on, but I'd love to see some rain.

"It was gutting to lose last time, but there you go."

Mullins does not run Apple's Jade but still has three possibles - Allblak Des Places, Footpad and Let's Dance, second to Ivanovich Gorbatov on her first run in Ireland.

Rashaan looked good before disappointing over Christmas, while Best Kept Secret, Jazz Ranger, Lagostovegas and Tocororo, who runs at Down Royal on Wednesday, complete the list.
