Kerry Lee has been making plans for her army of staying chasers.

Warwick Classic winner Russe Blanc, dual Welsh National winner Mountainous and new recruit Bishops Road all have targets in the coming weeks before hopefully heading for a Grand National date, be it in Britain or Ireland.

The Betfred Grand National Trial at Haydock on Saturday week has been pinpointed as a key event for the latter duo, while the Eider Chase at Newcastle on February 27 is on the radar for Russe Blanc.

"Both Bishops Road and Mountainous are going for the Trial at Haydock," said Lee.

"Depending how they get on there, they could then both go to Aintree. Obviously Bishops Road needs to prove he stays which is why he'll be running.

"If it looks like he doesn't stay, he'll go for the Topham.

"He was put up a stone for winning at Sandown but he has thrived since joining us. I don't think he needs very soft ground, he was quite versatile in Ireland.

"He would look an Aintree type, he's a lovely horse.

"Russe Blanc will go for the Eider and I'm looking at the Irish National for him.

"Some might not have seen the Warwick win coming, but I did. I'd never had him better and knew the further he went, the better he'd be."
