Victoria Pendleton could have three rides this weekend as she builds up towards her first mounts under NH Rules at Fakenham next week.

Olympic champion Pendleton is due to ride at the Cambridge University Draghounds point-to-point at Cottenham in Cambridgeshire on Saturday.

She will partner According To Sarah, trained by Alan Hill, in the Ladies Open.

Then 24 hours later at the Vine And Craven meeting at Barbury Castle in Wiltshire, if the Club Members race for novice riders divides she could ride both Working Title and Supreme Danehill.

Barry Orr of Betfair, who are backing the expedition, said: "Victoria is riding According To Sarah at Cottenham on Saturday.

"Then on Sunday she could have two rides. Working Title and Supreme Danehill are down to run in the same race and if it divides she'll ride both.

"It would be nice to build her experience up ahead of her first ride in a hunter chase at Fakenham on February 19."

The whole aim of the process is for Pendleton to ride in the Foxhunter at the Cheltenham Festival.

Her intended mount at Prestbury Park, Pacha Du Polder, is due to run in a hunter chase at Fakenham next Friday.
