Smart performers Ballynagour and Sam Winner are joint top-weights on 11st 12lb for the Sky Bet Chase at Doncaster on January 30.

David Pipe's Ballynagour was only beaten a head by Silviniaco Conti in the Aintree Bowl and has won a Grade Two in France since then, while the Paul Nicholls-trained Sam Winner was third in the Lexus Chase at Leopardstown in December 2014.

The three-mile contest, run as an open handicap for the first time, has attracted a quality entry with the prize fund increased by £5,000 to £80,000.

Jonjo O'Neill's Holywell (11st 11lb), third in the Aintree Bowl, is another possible runner with a touch of class.

The sponsors could not pick an outright market leader on the publication of the weights and make Evan Williams's Paddy Power Gold Cup runner-up Buywise (11st 3lb), Philip Hobbs' Fingal Bay (10st 8lb) and Alan King's recent course and distance scorer Ziga Boy (9st 12lb) co-favourites at 12-1.

Warren Greatrex reports Dolatulo (10st 12lb) to be on course for the Town Moor feature.

"Dolatulo is an intended runner in the Sky Bet Chase and I am very happy with him," said the Lambourn trainer.

"We were aiming him at the Rowland Meyrick Chase at Wetherby again over Christmas but that was abandoned, which was unfortunate as we thought that he had a good chance.

"I backed off him a bit after Boxing Day but he is in full work now and seems in good form.

"It looks a strong race based on the entries but Dolatulo has only had the one start this season, having run very well in the Becher Chase, and heads to Doncaster a fresh horse.

"He is a very solid horse who always runs his race and three miles around Doncaster won't be a problem.

"I don't know whether he is good enough to win the Sky Bet Chase but he will definitely go there with a good each-way chance.

"We are going to look at running him in the cross-country chase at Cheltenham after his run at Doncaster, which I think he could be made for. I don't think he quite stayed the Grand National trip last year and we won't be going down that route again."

Other interesting entries include Charlie Longsdon's Coologue (10st 5lb), the Rebecca Curtis-trained Irish Cavalier (11st 6lb) and the Paul Nicholls pair of Virak (11st 11lb) and Le Mercurey (10st 8lb).

Three of the four Irish entries are trained by Stuart Crawford - Yes Tom (10st 4lb), Man With Van (9st 9lb) and Glenquest (9st 8lb). Pass The Hat (10st 3lb), from Arthur Moore's stable, is the fourth.
