Harry Fry has Bitofapuzzle primed for Thurles raid

Harry Fry looks to have found a good opportunity for Bitofapuzzle to continue her progression in the Ocovango Coolmore National Hunt Sires European Breeders Fund Mares Novice Chase at Thurles.

In nine races under Rules her only defeats have come at Haydock, when beaten narrowly, and in the David Nicholson (OLBG Mares' Hurdle) at Cheltenham when a close third.

A Grade One winner at Fairyhouse, she looked a natural on her chasing debut at Exeter last month.

"Hopefully this looks a nice race for her," said Fry.

"We were very pleased with her at Exeter ad while the mares' programme is improving in England, it is more developed in Ireland, as it shows with this race as it's a Grade Two for novice mares.

"She started off in point-to-points at Larkhill so she has been jumping from a very early age.

"What she's done in bumpers and over hurdles was always going to be improved upon when she went over fences.

"She's won over the trip of two and a half miles and we know testing ground doesn't bother her."

Eight will go to post, including the Mick Winters-trained Perfect Woman.
