Kim Bailey has one eye on the Reynoldstown Novices' Chase at Ascot on February 20 for smart mare Emily Gray.
The eight-year-old holds an entry in a Listed race at Warwick this weekend, but at this stage the likes of Silsol, Bitofapuzzle and the Willie Mullins-trained trio of Pont Alexandre, Black Hercules and Roi Des Francs are possible runners.
Emily Gray beat a Grade One winner in Gitane Du Berlais on her penultimate start and then pushed Ryanair Chase runner-up Ma Filleule close at Doncaster when trying to concede almost a stone.
"She's in at Warwick this weekend but it just depends on how the race looks like shaping up," said Bailey.
"There's an option for her at Ludlow next week which we could have a look at.
"I just want to be a bit careful as she's had two hard races in a row, though of course she did win one.
"We're looking at taking her to the Reynoldstown because our thinking is a lot of the Cheltenham-type horses won't be going there."
