Lucy Wadham has set her sights on getting Potters Legend qualified for the European Breeders' Fund National Hunt Novices' Handicap Hurdle Final at Sandown in April.
Since being switched to hurdles, the six-year-old has matched his smart bumper form by finishing in the frame on both starts to date.
Having chased home Champion Bumper third Wait For Me at Newbury on his hurdling debut, the gelded son of Midnight Legend had little trouble in justifying short odds to go one better at Huntingdon.
Wadham said: "We will try to get him qualified for the EBF final at Sandown and he will probably go to Leicester on February 3.
"I think we will probably avoid going to Cheltenham and any thoughts we have of going to Aintree depend on how the Sandown race goes."
