Oliver Sherwood explores options for The Organist

Oliver Sherwood is giving The Organist plenty of options as he looks to hand the unbeaten mare more experience ahead a possible run at the Cheltenham Festival.

The five-year-old, owned by the Million In Mind Partnership, currently has four entries in the next week as Sherwood tries to juggle between beating the weather and pleasing connections.

The Organist is in at Haydock and Taunton on Saturday, Fontwell on Sunday and at Leicester on Tuesday.

Which one of those engagements she will take up has yet to be decided.

"It's very much up in the air. She definitely won't go to Haydock (for the Sky Bet Supreme Trial Novices' Hurdle) if Le Perizien runs as it's the same owners, the Million In Mind Partnership.

"She's also in at Taunton and Fontwell over the weekend, but with the weather it's a nightmare to plan at the moment.

"We've got her in a mares' race at Leicester on Tuesday which is a possibility as well.

"I'm really happy with her. She's a lovely mare, she's very laid back. It's quite difficult when you've won two races where you go.

"You have to step up in class or carry a double penalty. She'll definitely have an entry in the new mares' two-mile race at Cheltenham (Trull House Stud Mares' Novices' Hurdle)."
