Strong hand for Gordon Elliott in Warwick's Classic Chase

Gordon Elliott is responsible for four of the 32 entries in the Betfred Classic Chase at Warwick on Saturday.

The in-form County Meath handler is considering this valuable staying handicap chase over three miles five furlongs for Roi Du Mee, Captain Von Trappe, Mala Beach and Unic De Bersy.

The two other Irish entries are the Mouse Morris-trained duo of Dromnea and Folsom Blue.

Paul Nicholls, responsible for last year's winner Hawkes Point, is doubly-represented with Black Thunder, who unseated his rider in last Saturday's Coral Welsh Grand National, and Vivaldi Collonges, who also holds an entry in the Betfred Mobile Hampton Novices' Chase on the same card.

Alan King has two lively possibles in Midnight Prayer and Sego Success, while Kerry Lee, successful with Mountainous in the Welsh National, can call on Russe Blanc.

Among other old favourites are the Nigel Twiston-Davies-trained Algernon Pazham, Venetia Williams' Houblon Des Obeaux and Colin Tizzard's Golden Chieftain.
