Ttebbob likely to aim for Flyingbolt compensation at Navan

Ttebbob will aim to get his season back on track in next month's Flyingbolt Novice Chase at Navan.

The Jessica Harrington-trained seven-year-old was seriously impressive in winning his first two starts over fences, but failed to fire behind the magnificent Douvan in the Racing Post Novice Chase at Leopardstown's Christmas meeting.

Jockey Robbie Power believes Ttebbob was below-par having impressed at Navan just 13 days earlier and the leading rider expects the gelding to bounce back this spring.

"He's a lot better than that (run at Leopardstown). When he goes to the racecourse he leaves everything on the racecourse and when he went to Navan, he was very impressive, but he beat a horse rated 140 by 41 lengths and went a proper gallop all the way," Power told At The Races.

"I just think he left the Leopardstown race in Navan. He's a horse that needs plenty of time between his races.

"He'll probably go to Navan for the Grade Two Flyingbolt Novice Chase.

"We know he stays well and I think the Powers Gold Cup in Fairyhouse at Easter would be an ideal race for him."
