Un De Sceaux heads a select band of five declared for the Sodexo Clarence House Chase at Ascot on Saturday.

Willie Mullins' eight-year-old will try to re-establish his claims for the Queen Mother Champion Chase after falling two out when still travelling well in front at Leopardstown last month.

Despite that blip, Un De Sceaux remains ante-post favourite for the Cheltenham showpiece and his supporters will be hoping he can strut his stuff with a clear round.

Mullins has withdrawn his other entry Felix Yonger.

Un De Sceaux faces stiff opposition in the shape of Sire De Grugy, winner of this prize in 2014 on the way to achieving glory in the Champion Chase.

After a mixed last campaign, Gary Moore's stable star has returned to form this winter, winning the Tingle Creek at Sandown for a second time and just going down to Sprinter Sacre after an epic duel in the Desert Orchid Chase at Kempton.

Moore is also represented by Traffic Fluide, who was last seen taking minor honours in the Grade One Maghull Novices' Chase at Aintree in April.

Nicky Richards saddles the smart Simply Ned, who was runner-up in the Leopardstown race behind Flemenstar in which Un De Sceaux fell.

Completing the quintet is the Paul Nicholls-trained Vibrato Valtat, who was three and three-quarter lengths behind Sire De Grugy when third at Kempton.

The other withdrawal at the 48-hour final declaration stage was the Nicky Henderson-trained Captain Conan.
