Two potential stars from the Camas Park nursery of Timmy Hyde, the impressive debut bumper winner Keskonrisk and winning Irish Pointer Vanillier, along with the recent Gr.3 winner Soviet Pimpernel, headline a superb line-up of initial entries for the Point-to-Point/Form Horse Session at the Goffs UK January Sale at Doncaster (21 – 22 January).

KESKONRISK claimed a highly impressive debut victory in the bumper at Fairyhouse for Timmy Hyde on New Year’s Day with the Racing Post commenting that he “appeals as a horse with a future over jumps after this convincing debut success. His young rider took the initiative from half-way and got a breather into his mount under half a mile out before asking him to go on again. He got a good response.”

A 5YO son of No Risk At All, Keskonrisk is a half-brother to last season's Gr.2 Kingwell Hurdle winner GRAND SANCY who is currently BHA rated 152 over hurdles and fences.

Hyde’s other entry is the equally impressive VANILLIER who took the Division 2 4YO Maiden for Sam Curling at Dromahane on 30 December in a time six seconds faster than the day average.

Early entries for the session which has recorded a host of six figure prices in recent years also feature SOVIET PIMPERNEL who won the Gr.3 Irish Independent Hurdle at Limerick for Peter Fahey on 29 December. The lightly raced 5YO has proven Cheltenham form having finished a close second to Quel Destin in October and holds an entry for the Cheltenham Festival’s Gr.1 Sky Bet Supreme Novices' Hurdle.

A host of high-class pointers have also been entered, many of which ran at the Dromahane meeting on 30th December. They include:

  • FISHKHOV (5YO G by Sholokhov), placed second to Vanillier on his debut 4YO P2P for Robert Tyner.
  • NOT A LOSS (5YO M by Milan), the six-length winner of a 4YO Mares’ Maiden for Robert Tyner. She is out of the Black-Type mare COSCORRIG.
  • MOVETHECHAINS (6YO G by Robin des Champs), winner of the 5YO maiden for Paul Cashman.
  • TULLYBEG (5YO G by Sholokhov), well placed to finish second to Clondaw Bertie in the Division 1 4YO maiden before falling at the last for Colin McBratney.
  • DO THE FLOSS (5YO G by Shantou), the impressive winner of a 4YO Maiden for James Doyle at Borris House on 8 December.
  • TAKE YOUR TIME (5YO G by Dubai Destination), the wide margin 4YO winner of an Open Maiden for Anthony Ross at Alnwick on 15 December.

The main January Sale catalogue featuring more point-to-point and form horses, as well as a strong selection of NH mares and foals, will be released online Tuesday afternoon next week but point-to-point and form horse entries will be taken up to the time of the sale.
