Flintshire has left Andre Fabre to be trained in America by Chad Brown.

The Khalid Abdullah-owned six-year-old, runner-up in the last two renewals of the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, is consistency personified, racking up nearly £4.9million in prize-money in a 19-race career to date.

Abdullah's racing manager Teddy Grimthorpe feels conditions in America will play to Flintshire's strengths.

He said: "He's gone to Chad Brown in America where the fast ground and faster pace of the races should suit him.

"There should be some good options out there and we'll work back from the Breeders' Cup.

"There are no firm plans to begin with, but something like the United Nations Stakes at Monmouth in July might be a starting point.

"He's in fantastic form and even though he's six there are no signs of him slowing down."

Grimthorpe also issued an update on Derby favourite Midterm, by Galileo and out of Midday who won his only start at Newbury last October.

He said: "At the moment he's just a maiden winner and people can start getting excited when he's achieved a bit more.

"There are no plans as yet."
