The 2016 dates for the Goffs UK Autumn HIT & Yearling Sale and Goffs Open Yearling & HIT Sale have changed and will now be held earlier in the week on the dates shown below.

Goffs UK Autumn HIT & Yearling Sale – Monday 31 October & Tuesday 1 November
Goffs Open Yearling & HIT Sale – Wednesday 2 November

The Goffs UK Autumn Sale will offer a day of Horses-in-Training on the opening day, a session that has produced the likes of this season’s Grade 2 Novices’ Hurdle winner Thomas Hobson who sold for £240,000, followed by a day of yearlings which has achieved recent top prices of £70,000.

The Goffs Open Sale, held on the Wednesday, will offer a session of Horses-in-Training which has produced horses such as the multiple Group winner Custom Cut and has achieved recent top prices of €150,000, along with a session of yearlings which in 2015 saw three lots sell for €50,000+ with a top price of €80,000.

Goffs Group Chief Executive Henry Beeby said: “The changes in these sale dates are the result of our discussions with Tattersalls and Tattersalls Ireland as we meet annually to discuss the year ahead in an effort to avoid sales date clashes which benefit no one, not least our many mutual clients. The autumn calendar of sales is extremely busy and it’s very important for all concerned that there are no clashes.

“These changes are in addition to last week’s announcement that a second day has been added to the Goffs Sportsman’s Sale on Friday 30 September and that the Goffs November Foal Sale will now be starting on Sunday 13 November."
