Freddy Head's Solow follows a familiar route to Dubai tomorrow with an appearance in the Prix Montjeu at Chantilly.

He won the race 12 months ago before routing the field in the Dubai Turf at Meydan, the race which saw him propel himself to stardom on the world stage.

After Dubai Solow continued his winning streak in the Prix d'Ispahan, Queen Anne Stakes, the Sussex at Goodwood before signing off in style back at Ascot in the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes.

"It worked well last year running him in this so we thought we'd do it again," said Head.

"He's a year older but he's still the same, he hasn't changed physically.

"It's hard to say what his best performance was last year, maybe the Queen Anne as that was his first time against world-class milers.

"He goes on any ground. We always thought he wanted it soft but he proved in Dubai last year that isn't the case.

"This race suits him, he doesn't have to give that much weight away.

"I'm very happy with him, of course he won't be 100 per cent as it is early March, but he's not far off."

Head also runs Queen's Jewel in the Prix Darshaan and she will join her stablemate in Dubai.

"We're looking at the Sheema Classic for her," said Head.

"She ran a very good race at the Breeders' Cup and I'm also happy with her."
