Carntop, owned by Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cambridge, is one of five declarations for the Betfred Derby Trial at Lingfield on Saturday.

The Ralph Beckett-trained colt was an impressive winner of a Newmarket maiden in October and puts his Classic credentials on the line.

Saeed bin Suroor's Winning Story, impressive on his debut at Headquarters recently, steps up in class while Aidan O'Brien will be hoping for a better showing from Landofhopeandglory after he suffered defeat in a sales race at Newmarket last month.

Sir Michael Stoute's Across The Stars, in the Derby winning colours of Kris Kin, and Richard Hannon's Humphrey Bogart complete the field.

Beckett also holds leading claims in the Betfred Mobile Oaks Trial with Mountain Bell, who was hugely impressive at Windsor on her reappearance. Beckett has won the race three times since 2007.

O'Brien is represented by Seventh Heaven, a winner at Dundalk, while John Gosden runs Natural Beauty.

David Simcock's Chinoiseries, Ed Dunlop's Capricious Cantor and Hugo Palmer's Architecture complete the six runners.

The Group Three Betfred "Be Part Of The Action" Chartwell Fillies' Stakes, which this year will be run on the all-weather, has a field of 10, headed by The Queen's Light Music, who is trained by William Haggas.

Mick Channon's consistent Volunteer Point, Mark Johnston's Rah Rah and Kevin Ryan's Albany Stakes runner-up Ashadihan are part of a competitive field.
