Solow on comeback trail but Royal Ascot run still undecided

Solow's participation in the Queen Anne Stakes is still up in the air as he continues to recover from the injury which ruled him out of the Dubai Turf at Meydan in March.

While Freddy Head's latest superstar is back in training, whether the Royal meeting in June comes too soon for him is yet to be decided.

Connections still harbour hopes of the six-year-old being ready to defend his Ascot title and add to his 10 consecutive wins.

"He's back training away and everything is going as it should," said Pierre-Yves Bureau, racing manager to Solow's owners, the Wertheimer brothers.

"It is so far so good, but it is still too early to say where his next race might be.

"If he's ready in time for Ascot then great, of course we'll be there.

"But it is still a month and a half away and Freddy has not really asked him any serious questions yet."
