Showcasing colt tops trade on Day 2 of Goffs November Foal Sale

A son of Showcasing from Grenane House Stud (Lot 405-pictured) topped the second day of trade at Goffs November Foal Sale Part 1 when selling to Brendan Holland of Grove Stud for €160,000. The colt is the first foal out of Casila who is a daughter of Ribblesdale and Park Hill Stakes winner Miletrian and is also a half-sister to Inca Princess, dam of Johannes Vermeer and Elizabeth Browning, who at €1.9 million topped the November Breeding Stock Sale this time last year.

Baroda & Colbinstown Studs’ Camelot filly (Lot 532) provided another six figure sale late in the evening when bought by Sunday Racing for €120,000, while earlier Morna McDowall went to €115,000 for a Zoffany colt from Churchtown House Stud who is out of a winning Galileo own sister to Group 1 placed Robin Hood (Lot 339). 

Other highlights on Day 2 included a No Nay Never colt from Graigue Stables out of a four time winning mare from the family of multiple Group 1 winner Peeress that sold to Camas Park Stud for €100,000, as well as a colt from the first crop of Estidhkaar offered by The Castlebridge Consignment (Lot 282) that also made €100,000 selling to Ballyphilip Stud.

The November Foal Sale Part 1 continues today at 10am.  It will be followed on Thursday and Friday by the November Breeding Stock Sale, with Part 2 of the November Foal Sale on Saturday.
