The catalogue for the Tattersalls December Yearling Sale is now online and can be viewed at www.tattersalls.com. Numbering 200 lots, the December Yearling Sale will take place Monday 21st November.
Both FRANKEL and GALILEO are well represented in a high class catalogue which includes own or half brothers and sisters to 85 Group and Listed performers, as well as 17 yearlings eligible for £25,000 Tattersalls October Book 1 Bonuses, 13 eligible for the £150,000 Tattersalls October Auction Stakes, eight eligible for the 300,000 Euros Tattersalls Ireland Super Auction Stakes and a further four eligible for French Owners’ Premiums.
The three colts by FRANKEL comprise the half brother to multiple Group 1 winner and current Group 1 Melbourne Cup favourite HARTNELL, the half brother to multiple Group 3 winner LADIES ARE FOREVER and the colt out of Irish Derby winner CAPE BLANCO’s winning half sister LAURELEI.
The two regally bred colts by GALILEO are both eligible for £25,000 Tattersalls October Book 1 Bonuses, with lot 165 from Highclere Stud being the first foal out of BETTER NOT CRY, herself the half sister to the two Grade 1 Belmont Stakes winners RAGS TO RICHES and JAZIL, and lot 176 from the Castlebridge Consignment out of the Grade 1 Beverley D Stakes winner MAURALAKANA.
In addition to the FRANKEL half brother to HARTNELL, the December Yearling catalogue also features half or three parts brothers to the Group/Grade 1 winners GITANO HERNANDO and JOSHUA TREE, and half sisters to the Classic and Group 1 winners ARCTIC COSMOS, CHARITY LINE, CHERRY COLLECT, DARIANA and FINAL SCORE.
The only current top 10 British and Irish based sire not represented is DUBAWI, while the other nine; GALILEO, SEA THE STARS, DARK ANGEL, PIVOTAL, KODIAC, ACCLAMATION, INVINCIBLE SPIRIT, EXCEED AND EXCEL and SHAMARDAL, have 27 catalogued between them. Proven Grade/Group 1 USA based sires CITY ZIP, FIRST DEFENCE, KITTEN’S JOY, LOOKIN AT LUCKY, MEDAGLIA D’ORO, MIZZEN MAST, MORE THAN READY, SPEIGHTSTOWN and STREET CRY all have yearlings catalogued, as do Group and Grade 1 winning first crop sires CAMELOT, CITYSCAPE, DABIRSIM, DATA LINK, DAWN APPROACH, DECLARATION OF WAR, EPAULETTE, FARHH, HAVANA GOLD, INTELLO, LETHAL FORCE, MAXIOS and SOCIETY ROCK.
