We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Data Quality Specialist to join our Business Development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data used in mailings and marketing campaigns for both our customers and our internal purposes. This role is crucial for maintaining the quality of our customer data and enhancing the effectiveness of our marketing efforts.
This position is a permanent full-time position, working 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 9.00am – 5.00pm. After successfully passing probation there will be a salary increase to £30,000 per annum, along with the option to work hybrid, with a minimum of 3 days in the office required.
Key Responsibilities:
· Data Verification: review and verify the accuracy of customer data used in mailings and marketing campaigns.
· Data Cleansing; identify and correct errors in data entries, including duplicates, incomplete information, and outdated records.
· Database Management: maintain and update customer databases to ensure data is current and reliable.
· Quality Assurance; implement data quality checks and audits to ensure compliance with data standards and policies.
· Collaboration: work closely with the marketing team to understand data requirements and provide support for campaign planning and execution.
· Collaborate with customers to develop new product ideas for the Weatherbys Product Portfolio.
· Reporting: generate reports on data quality metrics and provide insights for continuous improvement and analyse sales data to identify growth opportunities and drive informed decisions.
· Collect and analyse customer and competitor data to support business planning and in particular identify new B2B business opportunities.
· Compliance: ensure all data handling practices comply with relevant data protection regulations and company policies.
· Improvement; regularly review processes to enhance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and customer experience.
Skill Requirements:
· Education in Marketing, Business, Data Science, or a related field
· Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
· Proficiency in data management tools and software (e.g., Excel, CRM systems).
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
· Knowledge of data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR) is a plus.
· Results driven with an innovative, entrepreneurial mind set
· Good understanding of the racing and equestrian industry.
· Having the ability to continually learn, take on feedback, try new things, adapt, grow and change with the business.
· Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise, multi-task and co-ordinate workloads and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
· Ability to provide accurate and reliable management information to enable a robust decision-making process.
· Self-motivated and flexible.
