Equine Services Coordinator

£25,000 per annum

Permanent, full-time, 35 hours/week

Variable working pattern, Mon-Sun (9-5 weekdays and 8.30-1pm weekends)

Job Purpose

We are seeking a proactive, detailed orientated and enthusiastic Equines Services Coordinator to join the team. You will be right at the heart of the action, making sure everything is set up and ready to go. Your focus will be on managing entries and declarations for horse racing across Britain and handling a wide range of admin tasks that keep everything running smoothly.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing and publication of entries and declarations in races
  • Updating of the Racing Administration Site
  • Ensuring publication of race data meets deadlines
  • Checking race conditions
  • Processing claiming and selling race
  • Stakeholder management
  • Checking Jockey claims and qualifications·       
  • Checking that the correct weights have been allocated in races·  
  • Dealing with queries, both on the phone and by email
  • Liaising with Trainers, Owners and the BHA
  • Ad hoc Administrative tasks

Skill Requirements:

  •  Meticulous attention to detail
  • Professional and polite telephone manner
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Able to pick up new skills and knowledge quickly
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills(written and verbal)
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload
  •  Works well as part of a team
  • Adaptable in a fast-changing environment
  • An interest in horse racing would be beneficial, but is not essential
