Kevin Ryan is already looking forward to a Flat campaign with Beyond The Clouds after lowering the colours of Claimantakinforgan at Musselburgh on Sunday

It is now three out of three over hurdles for the five-year-old but he is not even entered in the Supreme Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham.

"You couldn't help but be impressed with him," said Ryan.

"It's been steady progress and every question we've asked of him he's answered it.

"We were a bit concerned about the ground, we've been running him up there to keep him away from soft ground but it went soft and he still won which marks up his performance a bit more.

"He's got speed and Musselburgh is a speed track, that's why we've been running him up there, it plays to his strengths.

"Brian (Hughes) was talking about the Kelso race might suit (Premier Hurdle, March 3) and then you've got Aintree and Ayr as well.

"The thing is he will go back on the Flat this horse, he's not short of speed but as he was a slow burner we thought this was they way to go - it didn't do Clever Cookie any harm.

"He's a horse for the future."
