Officials at Uttoxeter have called a precautionary inspection at 8.30am ahead of Saturday's meeting due to the prospect of frost overnight.
Temperatures could dip as low as minus 3C before rising during Saturday to 6C, though showers are likely from 9am.
The going was described on Friday afternoon as heavy on the chase course and heavy, soft in places on the hurdles track.
Frost covers have been deployed on crossings, landings and take-offs, with fleeces on other vulnerable areas.
