Anthony Honeyball eyeing Limerick outing for Midnight Tune

Midnight Tune could tackle the Grade Three Kerry Group EBF Shannon Spray Mares Novice Hurdle at Limerick on March 18.

Trainer Anthony Honeyball has earmarked the two-mile-six-furlong prize as a potential port of call for the seven-year-old, who claimed her biggest victory to date last time out in a Grade Two at Sandown.

"She is qualified for the Grade Two at Newbury, but at this stage the Grade Three race at Limerick on March 18 is more likely," said Honeyball.

"It might be the last chance we get to find genuine cut in the ground. She owes us nothing and has been an absolute star this season.

"She should be a monster over fences next season and against the mares, she should take some pegging back on soft ground.

"She could go a similar route to Ms Parfois and she achieved more over hurdles than her. She really likes her jumping."
